Not only do we specialize in design and fabrication; our Engineering Department provides concept development and laboratory testing prior to purchase and in-field service for the installation, startup and maintenance after the sale.

Company History

1940

Findlay Machine & Tool is founded specializing in the manufacturing of large gears

1988

Mr. Joe Kirk purchases the assets of FMT and forms FMT Inc. FMT employs four employees and builds a 17,000 sq. ft facility in newly established Tall Timbers Industrial Park, Findlay OH offering General Machining and Fabrication Services

1989

FMT Inc. purchases the Cooper Tire's Aqueous Cleaning Product Line

1998

Mr. Kirk builds a new 130,000 sq. ft. facility in the Tall Timbers Industrial Park and moves FMT into our current facility.

2006

FMT achieves ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification

2008

Ms. Kolleen Kirk purchases a majority of FMT's stock and assumes the position of President, succeeding Mr. Kirk. Certifed WBE by Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
